CTU has identified six courses which are newly developed and upgraded including Biomedical materials; Bioinorganic chemistry; Molecular and material modelling; Design, discovery and synthesis of rational drugs; Nano structured materials and Physics of Thin Films. To support the teaching and learning activities of these courses and also other courses related to Chemistry and Physics, 21 different equipment items have been installed on June 2nd 2020 at the Department of Chemistry and Department of Physics, Can Tho University (CTU). Around 100 students of Bachelor programs in Chemistry and Physics are main beneficiaries of the equipment on a yearly basis. In addition, these equipments are also used to support research activities of both Bsc and Msc students for their graduation thesis or for conducting university-level research projects in which they are the principal investors. Every year, CTU funds about 5 university level research projects for groups of students in the field of Chemistry and Physics.

With the equipments supported by MOMA, Department of Physics is gradually improving and upgrading the courses including Materials Manufacturing and Technology (TN281), Spectroscopy and Application (TN284) and Spectroscopy Practice (TN285) of the Engineering Physics program, eg. UV-Vis-730 absorption spectrophotometer is in Laboratory of Applied Physics. It is used for teaching subjects of Spectroscopy and Application (TN284) and Spectroscopy Practice (TN 285). After studying the basic UV-Vis theory, concepts and application in classes, students have a chance to use UV-Vis-730 spectrophotometer for qualitative and quantitative analysis such as analyzing the spectrum and determining the metal concentration. Moreover, UV-Vis-730 absorption spectrophotometer is also used to analyze samples for researches in the fields of materials and environment.
Four magnetic stirrers, a pH meter and a 4-digit analytical balance are arranged in the Laboratory of Applied Physics 2 which are used for teaching practical subject of Materials Manufacturing and Technology (TN281). Especially, these are also important equipments for teaching the synthesis materials process.
