In the framework of the MOMA project, Can Tho University (CTU) organized an online course, ” Molecular and Materials Modeling” by Prof. Dr. Daniel Escudero Masa, KU Leuven University, Belgium and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Vu Nhat, Can Tho University teaches. The course has attracted more than 200 students, trainees and doctoral students in Materials Science, Engineering Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering and other disciplines from more than 10 different universities in Vietnam. Vietnam. Moreover, the course also attracted a number of friends, who are PhD students at universities around the world (Korea, Taiwan, …) to join and share. The course is also a place to exchange and supplement knowledge in computational simulation research with the participation in academic exchanges of more than 10 teaching staff who are currently lecturers at universities and research institutes in Vietnam. Vietnam. The course content includes 8 lectures, organized online by College of Natural Sciences staff, Can Tho University via Zoom platform every Wednesday, from 14:00-16:00 (Vietnam time), from December 9, 2021 to January 14, 2022.
The course provides knowledge about computational simulation and approximation techniques used in quantum mechanics (Potential Energy Surfaces and Born-Oppenheimer approximation),…
With a passion for acquiring new knowledge in molecular and materials computational simulation, the students overcame language barriers and difficulties in online learning to complete the course successfully.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. Daniel Escudero Masa and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Vu Nhat took the time to share knowledge and contribute to the success of this course.
