Seminar on developing chemistry courses at Quy Nhon University

On 26th April 2021, the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Quy Nhon University organized a seminar to discuss the contents of the courses developed within the MOMA project. The lecturers who have participated in different project activities showed that they have learnt new knowledge and new teaching methods. Interesting experiences and lessons learnt from European professors and colleagues from other Vietnamese partners have been also shared in the seminar.

In particular, four academic staff of the Department of Chemistry, belonging to the Faculty of Natural Sciences, presented the content of the course that they attended in other Vietnamese partners or online and propose they way how to embed the course into different curricula of Quy Nhon University. Especially, they discuss further what they have learnt from the project activities that they attended, such as the historical approach to scientific content, project-based teaching method, how to motivate the students into research-based learning.

Staff members from the Department of Chemistry, and the Department of Chemical Engineering and Food Technology participated in the seminar and enjoyed the discussion. Dr. Nguyen Le Tuan – Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Dr. Vu Thi Ngan – Local Coordinator of the MOMA project co-chaired this seminar.
